to further one of the IWFA’s chartered objectives--promoting conservation. The IWFA Scholarship Trust is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization organized for the purpose of providing financial assistance to marine science graduate students. The Scholarship Trust is funded by IWFA monies, individual contributions from IWFA members, and other private donations.

Each year, the Scholarship Trust receives many applications by its March 1st deadline. The Board of Trustees meet to review the applications and select scholarship recipients based on specific criteria. Students interested in making application for the scholarship should review the criteria posted on this site, and download the application for completion. Additionally, a scholarship application packet may be obtained by written request mailed to the attention of the Board of Trustees at the address listed below.

In 2012, the Board awarded a total of $24,250.00 to 32 students.
