                                              2016 Missoula Funament

The Missoula Funament is over, and our IWFA ladies had a great time, netting 375 fish including Rainbows, Cutthroats, Cutbows, Whitefish, "Squawkers," and one Bull Trout. We need to point out that Melissa Littlewood caught the Bull Trout without a hook, when the Trout latched on to her hooked Whitefish and she and her guide were able to net him! Probably couldn't do that again, although the Bull Trout were aggressively chasing everything around them.

The Doubletree by Hilton Missoula Edgewater hotel didn't disappoint, and both the bar and restaurant proved the perfect place to meet fellow anglers and relax.

The outfitter Missoula On The Fly provided excellent guides, and most anglers were able to fish all three nearby rivers, the Clark's Fork, Bitterroot, and Blackfoot.

We are thankful to the Fleming Family Foundation which donated enough for us to provide a goodie bag with fishing shirt, light up glasses and wine.

As always, there were one or two rough edges including when the shuttle service brought one guide's vehicle to the wrong take-out, and anglers didn't arrive back to the hotel until about 8 p.m., but it was all part of the fun!

More than half the anglers caught 40 fish over the three days, and the competition for prizes was tight. However, here are the winners of the non-prizes:
