The IWFA Scholarship Trust
"Hooked on Education and
Celebrating 50 Years"
The IWFA Scholarship Trust was established in 1965 to further one of the IWFA’s chartered objectives--promoting conservation. The IWFA Scholarship Trust is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization organized for the purpose of providing financial assistance to marine science graduate students. The Scholarship Trust is funded by individual contributions from IWFA members and other private donations.
In 2015 the Board awarded over $30,500.00 to 22 students.
The Scholarship Trust accepts applications postmarked by its March 1st deadline. The Board of Trustees meet to review the applications and select scholarship recipients based on specific criteria. Students interested in making application for the scholarship should review the criteria posted on this site, download the application for completion and send to the Board of Trustees at the address listed below.
As we celebrate 50 years in 2015, please consider joining us in our efforts to support the students who will be the future researchers and managers of the fisheries we all enjoy. All contributions are tax-deductible and should be mailed to:

The IWFA website has been improved! The drop-down menus, forms, and display windows will now function on all devices and resize or rotate properly on tablets, and mobile devices. If you're a member or frequent visitor, you'll also notice some minor changes to the screen layouts. These are just the first steps in an ongoing project to improve your online experience.
