Mark your calendars Ladies.  The IWFA is proud to announce that we will be hosting the 26th Annual Islamorada Backcountry Tournament .  Beginning the evening of Sunday, October 17, 2021 we will host our kickoff meeting followed by three (3) days of fishing the beautiful waters of the fabulous Keys.  This is an event you won't want to miss.  The targeted species include snook, tarpon, permit, bonefish, spotted seatrout, redfish, jack crevalle and ladyfish.  As always, we have the best guides and this is truly world class fishing.  The format will be Division 1 - Spin and Division II - Fly.  You will have the option to select your Division when registering for the event.   Our returning Tournament Chairperson Kim Clement and her host Committee always make this a memorable event.  

The 2021 Annual Awards Luncheon will also be held on Sunday afternoon, October 17 at the Islamorada Fishing Club.  Please plan to come early to join your fellow members in celebrating their accomplishments for the fishing year 2020.  The registration for this event will be sent out under a separate form.

Travel and accommodations will be the responsibility of each angler.  The IWFA has negotiated a discounted rate with the La Jolla Resort for our members.  A block of rooms has been until May 15 but this special rate will be available after that date on a first-come, first-served basis.  If you would like to reserve a room, please call the La Jolla Hotel at (305) 664-9213 and tell them you are with the IWFA.   For more information about this Classic Keys resort with it's own private beach please go to www.lajollaresort.com   

Registration will open for this event on May 20, 2021.  The registration fee will be $1,700 for the three (3) days fishing, the kickoff event Sunday evening, breakfast each morning at the Islamorada Fishing Club before departing for fishing and the Wednesday evening awards dinner.  There will also be a Tuesday evening event.  Once registration has opened you have the option of making a $200 deposit to secure your slot on the roster, followed by two payments of $750 each beginning in July or you may pay the entire amount. A more detailed schedule will be provided with the registration form that will arrive in your email on May 20.  

The ladies are all very excited to get to return to fishing.  We look forward to seeing you in the Keys!
