IWFA 2024 FUNAMENT AT THE PLANTATION AT CRYSTAL RIVER, FL

It's time to register and plan your February fishing!  The Board of the IWFA is excited to announce our first fishing event for year 2024.  We will  be hosting a Funament from the Plantation at Crystal River located at 9301 West Fort Island Drive, Crystal River, FL  34429.  We have some great guides reserved for two full days of fun fishing out of the Adventure Center located on the hotel property.   Each boat will carry three (3) anglers and our first fishing day will be Thursday, February 22 and also fishing Friday, February 23.  Arrival will be Wednesday, February 21.   For more information about the Plantation at Crystal River and the activities it has available, kayaks, manatee tours, and much more you may visit https://www.plantationoncrystalriver.com/. 

The cost of registration is $550 payable by check or Zelle to [email protected]  This amount covers your two days fishing and you will be responsible for your travel, lodging and food.  The Resort has a block of rooms reserved and we have space for 24 anglers.  There are 10 double rooms reserved and 4 single rooms.  We were allocated a generous room discount.    Single Rooms are at the rate of $249 inclusive of taxes/fees and double rooms are $194 inclusive of taxes/fees.  Once you register you will receive a confirmation email with specific hotel booking information.  

You  will be fishing for trout, redfish, snook, cobia and grouper plus a few other favorites.  There are no rules, just come and have a good time.   This is a beautiful estuary and the resort is located 70 miles north of Tampa, within a little over an hour drive time.   A great way to start the new year fishing and enjoying the friendship of your fellow lady anglers.   Since this is a Funament,  you may fish with whatever tackle you like, and we are excited to be fishing in a new location.  We do suggest that you bring your own gear with you.  

Wednesday evening we will plan to have a get together by the pool and tiki bar, weather permitting and look forward to seeing you in Crystal River.
