  The IWFA will again host a billfish tournament from the 5 Star Casa Vieja Lodge in Guatemala.  We have slots available for 36 anglers, based on double occupancy  and we will fish 4 ladies per boat.  The tournament registration fee for each angler will be $250 non-refundable payable to the IWFA to cover the costs of the event.  For planning purposes,  travel day will be Sunday, November 10 into Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City.  The Lodge will pick us up on arrival and provide us with transportation to the Lodge.  Monday, November 11  will be a fun filled  practice fishing day with the opportunity to freshen up your offshore skills, catch a sailfish on fly, go for a Blue Marlin, dorado or tuna. Tournament fishing will be Tuesday, November 12 and Wednesday, November 13.  Our awards dinner will be Wednesday evening and then we depart for the airport Thursday morning, November 14.  Your Tournament Committee is Kathy Gillen, Connie O'Day and Brenda Moore.

This all-inclusive package includes airport transportation to and from the Lodge, 3 full days of offshore fishing, tackle, bait,  transportation to and from the Marina each day of fishing, luxury accommodations, all meals (breakfast, lunch on the boat, after fishing appetizers and drinks, and dinner), all taxes and tips for the Lodge staff and drivers and laundry service is also available.  The total cost is $3950 plus your roundtrip air travel to Guatemala City.  Once you have signed up and paid your registration fee you will then complete your payments to the Lodge directly.  We will provide that information to each of you.  The payments will  be divided into two (2) installments of $1975 each.  The first being due in May and the final payment due in September.  If you need more information about the Lodge or their Fleet and Captains please visit www.casaviejalodge.com   The beautiful waters of the North Pacific produce incredible numbers of fish caught and released and we are very excited to be returning to this fabulous place for another great billfish tournament. 

For this tournament we are pleased to offer an IWFA extra night in Antigua for those who would like to spend a day and night upon arrival exploring the beautiful and historic colonial city.   Casa Vieja Lodge is making all of the arrangements for this extra day event.  You would arrive Saturday, November 9 (mid-day recommended) and transfer by Lodge transport to Camino Real Hotel Antigua for a one night single accommodation.  Spend the afternoon exploring Antigua and dinner reservations at 7 pm with the group.  Sunday, November 10 check out of the hotel, leaving your luggage with the Lodge driver.  Choice of 9 am tour (included):  3 hour walking tour of town or Coffee Plantation tour at Finca Filadelfia.  After the tours we will meet for lunch with the group and then transfer from Antigua to the Casa Vieja Lodge.  The cost of this extra day adventure is $330 .  This price includes hotel and  tour and transfers, but does not include food and drinks in Antigua.  There is a section in your registration form for you to indicate whether you have an interest to include this extra adventure.  If you have never been to Antigua this is a great opportunity for you to explore this great city and it's history and culture.
